Preparation steps

1.

Preheat the oven to 220°C (approximately 425°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2.

Sprinkle the grated parmesan onto the prepared baking sheet in a circle about 10-12 cm (approximately 4-5 inches) in diameter. Bake in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, until the cheese is golden brown. Remove from the oven, carefully remove the cheese circle with a spatula and place over an upside down bowl or muffin tin. Press lightly and allow to cool.

3.

Rinse the shrimp and pat dry. Peel and chop the garlic. Cut the chile pepper in half lengthwise, remove the ribs and seeds and dice. Mix the garlic and chile pepper with the olive oil and pour over the shrimp. Let marinate for about 10 minutes.

4.

Season the shrimp with salt and sauté in a hot pan for about 3-4 minutes, until opaque. Cut the lettuce into thin strips. Place the Parmesan bowls on a serving platter, fill each one with a bit of lettuce and a few shrimp and serve immediately.
