- Ingredients
- 16 ozs lean Ground beef (chuck; round or sirloin)
- ½ cup minced onions
- 2 cloves garlic cloves (peeled and pressed)
- Steak seasoning (to taste)
- 4 american cheese
- 4 sesame Burger buns (split)
- 1 handful Lettuce (rinsed and patted dry)
- 1 handful Dill Pickle (drained)
- 1 sweet onion (peeled and sliced into rounds)
- Condiments your favorite (Catalina dressing, mustard, ketchup, relish, mayonnaise, etc. )
Preparation steps
1.
Preheat gas or charcoal grill to medium-high heat.
2.
In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, minced onion and pressed garlic. Shape into patties and sprinkle with steak seasoning spice.
3.
Grill to your liking, about 5 to 7 minutes per side for medium. To check for doneness, insert an instant-read thermometer through the side of the burger until you reach the center. The internal temperature should be at least 160º F / 71º C. Place a slice on cheese on each burger and remove burgers from grill.
4.
To assemble the burgers: Spread your favorite condiment on the cut side of the bottom bun and layer with lettuce, burger, pickles, and onion. Top with your favorite condiment, Catalina dressing, mustard, ketchup, relish, mayonnaise, etc. , and remaining bun top. Serve.
