Green tea is used as a basis for the iced tea, which contains a lot of secondary plant substances that protect our body from harmful influences. In addition, the drink makes us awake, as it contains caffeine, formerly called theine. Especially in summer it is important to drink enough liquid, because a lack of liquid makes us tired, makes our concentration worse and can cause headaches. The cool drink helps to replenish our fluid stores and tastes so delicious.

 

Ice cubes often dilute chilled drinks, to counteract this, you can pour lime juice into the ice cubes and freeze it. A refreshing iced tea tastes best with a straw, unfortunately these are mostly made of plastic and not at all good for our environment. Why not use macaroni instead of the classic straws as an environmentally friendly alternative.

1 tsp Lime juice
20 ozs brewed green Tea
4 sheets Basil
1 pc Cucumber (about 3" long)
6 Ice cubes

Preparation steps

1.

Mix the honey, lime juice and tea. Pour into two glasses and add basil leaves. Chill for about 1 hour.

2.

Rinse the cucumber and cut into two cucumber sticks. Place in the glasses. Serve over ice.
