Hearty Cabbage Stew
Peel onion and garlic and finely dice both. Sauté together in a hot pot in the oil until translucent. Deglaze with broth and bring to a boil. Peel potatoes, rinse and dice. Rinse cabbage, trim and cut into strips. Add cabbage and potatoes to the pot, season with salt, pepper and caraway seeds and simmer gently for about 15 minutes. Pour in broth as needed.
Meanwhile, dice the smoked pork and cut the sausage into slices. Rinse the parsley, shake dry, pluck off the leaves and chop. Add parsley, sausage and smoked pork to stew and heat for a few minutes. Remove from the heat, stir in the creme fraiche and season with salt and pepper.
Distribute stew among plates and serve.
