150 grams brown sugar
1 packet Vanilla sugar
1 pinch salt
1 tsp ground ginger
2 tsps cinnamon
120 grams softened butter
2 medium eggs
240 milliliters Buttermilk
50 grams Hazelnuts

Preparation steps

Mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, ginger and cinnamon. Beat the butter until creamy. Gradually stir in the eggs, buttermilk and flour mixture. Chop the hazelnuts and fold into the batter.

Grease the wells of a muffin tin with butter and sprinkle with flour. Pour in the batter. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 200°C (approximately 400°F).

Remove from the oven, let cool on a wire rack and serve.
