Ingredients
- For the crust
- 250 grams Pastry flour
- 20 grams Yeast
- ⅛ l lukewarm water
- 4 Tbsps olive oil
- salt
- For the toppings
- yellow and red Bell pepper (1 each)
- 300 grams Tomatoes
- 100 grams Juniper wood smoked ham
- 2 Tbsps olive oil
- 150 grams Mozzarella
- oregano (for garnish)
Preparation steps
For the crust, place the flour in a bowl and make a well in the middle. Crumble the yeast in some water, pour it into the well, sprinkle with flour, cover and rest for 15 minutes. Mix the residual water with the salt and oil, add to the bowl and process everything into a smooth dough. Cover and let rise 1 hour in a warm place.
Blanch the tomatoes, rinse with cold water, peel, cut into small cubes and cook slightly in a pot with 1 tablespoon oil, then season with salt and pepper. Cut the mozzarella into slices. Cut the peppers in half, remove the seeds, rinse and cut into strips.
Knead the dough again, roll out and place on an oiled pizza tray, forming a slightly thicker edge. Preheat the oven to 220°C (approximately 425°F). Spread the tomato sauce over the dough. Top with bell pepper strips, sliced mozzarella and ham slices and drizzle with a little olive oil. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes. Bake until golden brown. Sprinkle with oregano leaves before serving.
