Preparation steps

1.

Preheat broiler. Rinse and halve peppers, remove seeds and ribs, and cut into wide strips. Watching carefully, grill peppers, skin-side up, until blackened. Cover peppers with a damp cloth to cool, then rub off skins.

2.

Rinse and slice tomatoes. Slice mozzarella. Cut rolls in half horizontally. Drizzle cut surfaces with olive oil and top with mozzarella, tomato, peppers and ham. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and Herbes de Provence and garnish with fresh basil.
