- 1 small Green cabbage (1 kg)
- 2 garlic cloves
- salt
- butter (for the baking dish)
- 2 Tbsps olive oil
- freshly ground peppers
- 2 onions
- 150 grams cooked ham (in slices)
- 3 eggs
- 50 grams grated Parmesan
- 200 milliliters Whipped cream
- 2 Tbsps breadcrumbs
- 2 Tbsps butter

Preparation steps
1.
Rinse and quarter cabbage. Remove core and cut cabbage into thin strips.
2.
Peel garlic and finely crush with a little salt.
3.
Preheat oven to 160°C (approximately 325°F). Butter a casserole dish.

In a pan, sauté cabbage strips and garlic briefly in hot oil. Season with a little salt and pepper and add a little water. Simmer about 5 minutes. Transfer mixture to prepared casserole dish.
5.
Peel onions and cut into rings. Cut ham into pieces. Sprinkle ham and onions over cabbage.
6.
To make topping: Whisk eggs with cheese and cream. Season with salt and pepper. Pour mixture over vegetables and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Top with pats of butter and bake until golden-brown, about 40 minutes.
