- 7 ozs soft butter
- 6 Tbsps sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 egg yolk
- 4 Tbsps Cognac
- Nutmeg
- 10 ozs Pastry flour
- For decoration
- 6 ozs powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsps lemon juice
- yellow and red Food coloring
- Granulated sugar

Preparation steps
1.
Beat the butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla sugar until creamy. Stir in the egg yolks, cognac, nutmeg, and flour. Mix into a smooth dough. Roll between 2 layers of plastic wrap and roll out to 1/8 inch thick. Chill for 2 hours.

Cut out with Halloween cookie cutters and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake until golden brown in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 12 minutes.

Remove from the oven and cool briefly on a pan. Remove from the sheet and let cool on a wire rack.

Mix the powdered sugar with the lemon juice to form a glaze. Color the glaze with the food coloring, only 1-2 drops. Decorate the cookies and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
5.
Place on lollipop sticks as desired.
