250 grams starchy potatoes

2 carrots
1 onion
1 stalk Celery
2 Tomatoes
500 grams mixed Ground meat
2 Tbsps vegetable oil
1 handful Fresh herbs (parsley, sage and rosemary)
150 milliliters Beef broth
salt
freshly ground peppers
3 Tbsps milk
75 grams grated Cheese (such as cheddar)

Preparation steps

1.

Scrub and peel potatoes. Cook in salted, boiling water until tender, about 25 minutes.

Peel and dice carrots and onion. Rinse, trim and cut celery into pieces. Rinse and core tomatoes. Remove seeds and dice tomatoes.

Fry ground meat in hot oil until crumbly. Add carrots, onion and celery and cook about 5 minutes. Remove pan from heat. Stir in herbs and tomatoes. Pour in broth and season with salt and pepper.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F).

Drain potatoes, let cool slightly and mash. Mix in milk and cheese.

6.

Place ground meat mixture in a casserole dish and top with mashed potatoes. Bake in the oven until golden brown, about 25 minutes.
