12 kilograms New Zealand mussels
¼ l white wine
½ tsp white peppercorns
salt

Preparation steps

1.

Thoroughly clean the mussels under running water. Remove the beard and hair-like fibers. Bring the white wine to a boil, add the mussels, salt, and peppercorns.  Cover the pot, and cook over high heat until the mussels have opened.

2.

Remove the lid, and let the mussels cool slightly.

3.

Remove the mussels from the pot, and drain. Discard any that haven't opened.

4.

Place the mussels on a hot grill for a few minutes. Season with salt and pepper, and serve.
