- 6 cups fresh Mushrooms
- 6 Tbsps butter (divided)
- 1 Tbsp Steak sauce
- 8 slices fresh Bread
- 8 slices Gruyere (or smoked gouda)

Preparation steps
1.
Clean and slice mushrooms; set aside.
2.
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet. Add the steak sauce and the mushrooms and sauté until the mushrooms are soft and flavorful. Set aside.

Melt the remaining butter and brush the melted butter over one side of each slice of bread.
4.
Heat a grill pan over medium heat. Place 4 slices of bread in the grill pan, buttered side down. Add one slice of cheese, and a generous spoonful of mushrooms. Cover with another slice of cheese and remaining slice of bread, butter side up.
5.
As the bread begins to brown and the cheese is melting, gently press down on the sandwich. Once the bottom bread slice is toasted, flip the sandwich over and toast the other side. Cut each sandwich in half and serve.
