- 250 grams mixed Lettuce
- 1 mains or Galia melon
- 3 Tbsps White vinegar
- salt
- peppers (freshly ground)
- ¼ tsp Mustard
- 1 pinch sugar
- 2 Tbsps Walnut oil
- 2 slices white bread
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 Edible flower (such as nasturtium or pansy, if desired)

Preparation steps
1.
Rinse, trim and spin lettuce dry. Tear into smaller pieces if needed.
2.
Halve melons, scoop out seeds and cut flesh into slices. Gently mix melon with lettuce.
3.
For dressing: Mix vinegar with salt and pepper to taste, mustard and sugar. Whisk in oil until emulsified.
4.
Cut bread into cubes and fry in melted butter.
5.
Arrange salad on plates, drizzle with dressing and sprinkle with croutons. Serve with edible flowers, if desired.
