600 grams Sauerkraut
200 milliliters dry white wine
200 milliliters Apple juice
1 bay leaf
½ tsp peppercorns
½ tsp Juniper berries
1 kilogram Smoked pork chop

Preparation steps

1.

Peel the onion and chop. Peel the apple, quarter, core and cut into cubes.

Heat the butter in a large saucepan and sweat the onion until translucent. Add the drained sauerkraut, apple, white wine, apple juice, bay leaf, peppercorns and juniper berries. Rinse the smoked pork, add to the saucepan, cover and simmer for about 1 hour.

3.

Slice the meat. Season the sauerkraut with salt and pepper and serve with the sliced pork.
