- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp Baking powder
- ¼ tsp ground Nutmeg
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (plus extra for sprinkling)
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 fresh eggs
- 1 cup seltzer water
- Canola oil (for frying)
- 4 large Apple (peeled and cored)
- powdered sugar (or ganulated sugar)

Preparation steps
1.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt. In a separate bowl, beat eggs and seltzer water together. Fold egg mixture into dry ingredients, stir until smooth.

In a heavy skillet or deep fryer, heat the oil to 375º F.

Slice the apples into 1/2-inch rings. Dredge the apple slices in batter and fry in small batches, turning once, until golden, about 2 to 3 minutes. Drain on absorbent paper towels and dust with confectioners' sugar or granulated sugar and cinnamon, prior to serving.
