- 4 round Filo dough (large)
- 3 small Camembert
- 125 grams melted butter
- ½ bunch Basil
- 250 grams Raspberries
- 3 Tbsps balsamic vinegar
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
Preparation steps
Lay filo dough sheets flat. Cut 3 sheets of dough into quarters and coat with a little butter. Cut 1 sheet of dough into narrow strips.
Cut the camembert into quarters.
Arrange the basil leaves and cheese on the dough sheets and fold into packets. Wrap a narrow strip of dough around each packet, tie in a small square knot and brush with remaining butter.
Place the filo cheese packets in a baking dish and bake in a preheated oven (180 °C) (approximately 350°F) until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
Meanwhile place most the raspberries (reserve some for garnish) in a small pan with the vinegar and simmer for about 5 minutes. Press through a sieve and season with salt and pepper.
Spread the raspberry sauce on a plate and arrange the filo cheese packets on top. Garnish with whole raspberries and raspberry leaves and serve.
