- 200 grams sifted Pastry flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 100 grams sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 lemon (zested)
- 4 Tbsps vegetable oil
- 4 tsps Baking powder
- 2 eggs
- Strawberry Jam
- Shortening (clarified butter)
- powdered sugar

Preparation steps

Mix the flour with baking powder and salt in a bowl. Add the eggs, salt, sugar, cinnamon, lemon zest, oil and baking powder to the flour, and knead into a smooth dough. Let the dough rest for 1 hour in a warm place.

Divide the dough into portions and shape each portion into balls. Pour strawberry jam in a syringe. Heat shortening in a pan and fry the balls until brown on both sides. Drain the fried balls or donuts on kitchen paper and serve sprinkled with powdered sugar. Garnish with cinnamon.
