- 1 cup butter (softened)
- ¾ cup caster sugar
- ¾ cup soft brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup Chocolate chip
- ½ cup toasted Hazelnuts (chopped)

Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 170°C/150°C fan/325°F/gas 3.
2.
Cream together the butter and both sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Sieve the flour and bicarbonate of soda over the mixture and then stir. Stir in the chocolate chips and hazelnuts.
3.
Drop tablespoonfuls of the mixture onto a non-stick baking tray. Space the mixture well apart to give room for spreading.
4.
Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden. Cool on the tray for a couple of minutes before lifting onto a wire rack.
