Onions give the tomato cream soup a spicy taste and score points with the sulphides it contains, which can have an antibacterial effect. The lycopene from the strained tomatoes has an antioxidant effect and can have a positive influence on the cardiovascular system.

From the tomato cream soup, you can quickly conjure up a vegan dinner if you replace the sour cream with a vegan yoghurt alternative, for example on a soya basis. The rusk can be replaced with roasted peanuts.
