Preparation steps

For the dough: cut butter into small pieces and place in a bowl. Add powdered sugar, ground almonds and flour. Crumble with your fingers.

Whisk egg yolk with 4 tablespoons of water, add to butter mixture  and knead to a smooth dough. Shape into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 210 ° C top and bottom heat Preheat.

Roll out dough on a floured work surface and prick several times with a fork. Butter 6 tartlet molds (about 8 cm in diameter) (approximately 2 1/2 inch) and sprinkle with flour. Line prepared molds with pastry line and bake in preheated oven at 210°C (approximately 425°F) for about 10 minutes. After that, lower temperature to 180°C (approximately 350°F) and bake for 10 more minutes. Remove from oven and cool.

For the topping: combine cream cheese with powdered sugar and cream, mix well.

Rinse and dry berries, cut strawberries into slices. Fill tartlets with cream cheese mixture and arrange berries on top. Garnish with mint and serve immediately.
