- 1 ⅓ cups flour
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 2 Tbsps sugar
- ½ cube Yeast (approx. 2 tbsp)
- 1 ½ tsps Dried yeast
- ⅔ cup water (lukewarm)
- 2 cups sweet Corn (tin. drained, chopped)
- butter (for the steaming rack)

Preparation steps
1.
Sieve the two flours with the sugar and a pinch of salt into a bowl. Make a well in the centre.
2.
Dissolve the yeast in the water, pour into the well and mix to a smooth dough with the kneading hook of your electric mixer. Cover and leave to rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
3.
Knead the sweetcorn into the dough. Roll the dough into a ball (add more flour if the dough is too sticky). Place the dough on a buttered steaming rack.
4.
Bring water to the boil in a saucepan. Place the steaming rack with the dough in the saucepan (it must not touch the water). Cover and steam the bread for approx. 50 minutes over a medium heat until done.
5.
Remove the bread from the saucepan. Slice and serve, garnished with fresh butter.
