- non-fat cooking spray
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup Cornmeal
- 3 Tbsps sugar
- 1 ¼ tsps Chili powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup Margarine (softened)
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup canned creamed corn
- 1 cup red peppers (finely diced)

Preparation steps
1.
Preheat oven to 400°F. Spray an 8" or 9" square or circular baking dish with non-fat cooking spray.

In large bowl whisk together all the dry ingredients. In another bowl, whisk together milk, margarine, and egg until blended. Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients and gently stir until the batter is evenly moistened. Add the corn and peppers and stir to mix. Pour mixture gently into prepared baking dish.
3.
Bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the cornbread comes out dry. Cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
