- 4 cups lean Ground beef
- salt
- freshly ground Black pepper
- 4 slices Bacon
- 1 onion (sliced)
- olive oil (for brushing)
- 4 thin Cheddar cheese
- To serve
- 4 seeded Burger buns
- Lettuce
- 2 Tomatoes (sliced)

Preparation steps
1.
Heat the grill.

Put the minced beef in a bowl and season to taste with salt and pepper. Press the meat together with your hands and shape into 4 balls.

Flatten the meat balls and grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through.

Grill the bacon until crisp and cut each slice in half.
5.
Brush the onion slices with olive oil and grill for 5-8 minutes until tender
6.
Toast the burger buns until golden.
7.
Place a little lettuce on the base of each burger bun and place a beefburger on top. Top with a cheese slice, slices of onion, tomato slices and 2-3 pieces of bacon. Place the top of the bun on top and serve immediately.
