- 4 Tbsps herb butter (sliced)
- coarse salt (to taste)
- freshly ground Black pepper (to taste)
- 4 Burger buns (or sandwich rolls)

- sweet onions (sliced thin)
- 4 slices ripe Tomatoes
- Mayonnaise (mustard and/or ketchup)
Preparation steps
1.
Moisten your hands with cold water and divide the ground beef in 4 equal portions. Form into a flattened ball and making a well in the center with your thumb.
2.
Place a slice of herb butter in the center well and cover with ground beef, forming a nice, thick patty. Season with salt and pepper.
3.
Cover the burgers with foil and refrigerate until ready to cook.
4.
Prepare the grill for direct grilling and preheat to high.
5.
Place the prepared burgers on the hot grill grate. Grill for 5 to 7 minutes per side for medium, or until an instant read thermometer inserted through the side of the burger into the center reaches 160º F.
6.
Brush the rolls with melted butter and toast them on the grill for about 45 seconds. Assemble the burgers and top with your favorite condiment. Serve.
