- 35 ozs cooking Apple (peeled and chopped)
- 3 onions (chopped)
- 9 ozs pitted, soft Date (chopped)
- ½ Tbsp freshly grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic cloves (crushed)
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 2 cups Cider vinegar
- 2 cups light brown sugar

1 Cutting board, 1 Small knife, 1 Teaspoon, 1 Fine-mesh sieve, 1 Bowl, 1 Tablespoon, 1 kleine Non-stick pan, 1 Large knife
Preparation steps
1.
Put all the ingredients, except the sugar into a large pan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer gently for about 20 minutes, until the apples start to soften.

Stir in the sugar and continue to cook gently until the sugar has dissolved, stirring continuously.
3.
Bring to a boil and cook rapidly for 30 -45 minutes, stirring until thick.
4.
Spoon into hot sterilised jars, cover, seal and label. Keep in a cool, dark place for 2 weeks before eating.
