- 18 ozs firm, ripe Tomatoes (skinned and chopped)
- 8 ozs onions (finely chopped)
- 9 ozs cooking Apple (peeled and cored weight), finely chopped
- 1 cup Cider vinegar
- 1 tsp ground mixed spice
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 cup Golden raisins
- salt

1 Skillet, 1 Bowl, 1 Small bowl, 1 Cutting board, 1 Large knife, 1 Small knife, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Teaspoon, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 Peeler, 1 Whisk
Preparation steps
1.
Put all the ingredients except the sugar, sultanas, salt and pepper into a large heavy-based pan.

Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer steadily for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until thick.

Remove from the heat and stir in the sugar until dissolved completely. Add the sultanas and season to taste with salt and pepper. Stir well, over a low heat, then increase the heat and simmer steadily, for a further 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until the mixture is very thick.
4.
Remove from the heat. Ladle the chutney into warm sterilised jars and seal tightly.
