120 grams butter
175 grams sugar
2 large eggs
1 lemon
1 Vanilla bean
250 grams Pastry flour
1 tsp Baking powder
1 pinch salt
1 pinch cinnamon (or more if desired)
150 grams coarsely chopped Dark chocolate

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F).

In a bowl, beat the butter until creamy. In another bowl, stir the sugar and eggs until creamy. Add to the butter mixture and beat until fluffy.

In another bowl, stir the flour with the baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Set aside. 

Cut the vanilla bean in half lengthwise and scrape out the seeds with a sharp knife. Stir into the butter mixture. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, and stir until combined. Knead the chocolate into the dough. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Shape the dough into a long, thick log. Flatten slightly. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and cut into slices. Place on the baking sheet, and bake until crisp, about 5-10 minutes.
