1 tsp Turmeric

700 milliliters Chicken broth
600 grams Okra
½ Lime (juice)

Preparation steps

Rinse the chicken, pat dry and cut into 8 pieces using kitchen. Peel the garlic peel and press 3 cloves through a garlic press. Rub the chicken pieces with garlic, salt and pepper. Peel the onions and finely chop. Saute the onion in a large pot in 2-3 tablespoons oil over medium heat until light brown. Sprinkle with turmeric and saute briefly, then add the chicken pieces and brown on all sides. Sprinkle with paprika and pour in the broth and simmer, covered 30-40 minutes until the chicken is done. If necessary, add additional liquid.

Finely chop the remaining garlic. Rinse the okra, trim and saute together with the garlic in the remaining oil for about 5 minutes while turning. Deglaze with a little water and the lime juice and cook another 5 minutes. Season with salt and mix with the chicken. Season again and serve garnished with cilantro leaves.
