- 750 grams Sweet cherry
- 200 grams butter
- 180 grams sugar
- 4 eggs
- 150 milliliters Sour cream
- 500 grams Pastry flour
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 50 milliliters milk
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 100 grams slivered almonds

Preparation steps

Before you begin: Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 400°F).

For the batter: Rinse the cherries. Beat butter and sugar. Slowly mix in the eggs and sour cream. In a separate bowl, mix the flour and baking powder. Slowly stir in the milk. Combine both mixtures well.
3.
For baking: Pour the batter in a baking pan. Top with cherries and bake in the oven for 35-40 minutes. In the last 10 minutes of baking, sprinkle almonds on top and place back in the oven. Remove the cake from the oven, let cool and serve.
