1 kilogram dark Sour cherry
700 grams jam sugar (2:1 ratio)
150 grams whole almonds
juice of lemons

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse and stone the cherries. Mix the cherries with the sugar, almonds, and lemon juice in a bowl. Cover and let infuse for 24 hours, stirring occasionally.

2.

The next day, bring the cherry mixture to a boil in a pot. Reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 20 minutes.

3.

Test the jam by placing one teaspoon of the mixture on a plate. The jam should be thick, and shouldn't run.

4.

Cool the jam slightly, place in clean screw-top jars, and cool completely.
