400 grams Puff pastry dough
Pastry flour (for work surface)
1 egg yolk
150 grams grated Emmentaler cheese
2 Tbsps black Sesame seeds
50 grams Sunflower seed
½ tsp ground Caraway
salt

Preparation steps

Preheat oven to 200°C (approximately 390°F).

Place pastry onto a lightly floured work surface and roll out 2-3 mm (approximately 1/8 inch) thin. Mix egg yolk with 2 tablespoons water and sprinkle pastry with it. Spread cheese, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds and cumin onto the pastry sheets and sprinkle with salt. Fold once and brush surface again with egg yolk. Cut into 2-3 cm (approximately 1 inch) wide strips. Twist strips into spirals and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Bake in oven for about 20 minutes until golden brown and serve.
