- 2 small Cauliflower (broken into florets)
- 3 Tbsps butter
- 2 Tbsps flour
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- 2 cups milk
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 ½ cups Cheddar cheese (grated)
- 3 Tbsps cream
- ¾ cup breadcrumbs

1 Pot, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Cutting board, 1 Large knife, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Teaspoon, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 Peeler, 1 Lid
Preparation steps
1.
Heat the oven to 200ºC (180º fan), 400ºF, gas 6.

Boil the cauliflower florets in salted water for 5 minutes then drain well and set aside.

Heat the butter in a saucepan and stir in the flour and mustard powder. Cook gently for 2 minutes, stirring all the time, then gradually add the milk. Bring to a boil, season with salt and pepper then add the bay leaf, grated cheese and cream and simmer for 8 - 10 minutes, stirring from time to time.
4.
Place the cauliflower in an ovenproof dish, pour over the cheese sauce and scatter over the breadcrumbs. Bake in the oven for 15 - 20 minutes until the top is golden brown.
