2 Tbsps olive oil
50 grams butter
1 handful Basil
coarse salt

Preparation steps

Peel the asparagus, trim the ends and pre-cook about 3 minutes in lightly salted water. Preheat the broiler and brush broiler pan with a little oil. Rinse the asparagus in cold water, pat dry and place in broiler pan (with drip pan underneath). Broil for 3-5 minutes, turning frequently and watching carefully. Melt butter in a pan, finely chop basil and add to the butter. Season with salt and pepper and little lemon juice. Arrange asparagus on plates, drizzle with the butter and serve immediately.

Serve with boiled potatoes, if desired.
