4 eggs (brown or white)
4 Gift ribbons (60-70 cm long and min. 4 cm wide)
4 Egg cups (or espresso cups)
Scissor
Needle
vegetable oil (as needed)

Preparation steps

1.

Boil the eggs to taste in plenty of water (soft or hard-boiled).

In the meantime, thinly cut the margins of the gift ribbons with scissors and drag along them using a needle, removing a few threads, to produce a frilly edge.

2.

Remove the eggs from the cooking water, rinse cold and dry with a kitchen towel. Rub the shells with a few drops of oil if desired, to produce a shine.

3.

Place the eggs on the cups and tie bows around with the ribbons. Cut the loop ends diagonally and serve the eggs as a special breakfast.
