6 ozs sugar
1 tsp cornstarch
1 Pear
14 ozs Blueberries
1 lemon (juice)
3 ½ ozs Shelled peanut

Preparation steps

In a small saucepan, mix sugar with 5 ounces of water, boil for about 5 minutes until syrupy.

Peel pear, remove the core and chop fruit. Add pear pieces to syrup, let boil again, remove from heat and allow to cool.

Rinse blueberries, trim, and pat dry. Puree blueberries with pear syrup, lemon juice, and peanuts using an immersion or regular blender. Pour blueberry puree into a shallow metal tray and place in the freezer for at least 4 hours. Stir often during freezing process.

Before serving, stir again and scoop sorbet into glass bowls.
