- 1 kilogram Currants
- 1 lemon (juiced)
- 500 grams jam sugar (3:1 ratio)

Preparation steps
1.
Rinse the berries, pat dry, and remove from the vine. Puree the berries with the lemon juice using a food mill.
2.
Add enough water to the puree to equal 1250 ml (approximately 42 ounces). Add the berry mixture and the sugar to a large pot and stir to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook for 4 minutes, then fill the prepared jars to the brim with the hot jam. Seal tightly and turn upside down to cool for 10 minutes. Turn right side up and cool completely.
