- 1 Green cabbage (1 kg)
- 2 yellow onion
- 1 tsp Mustard seed
- 2 Tbsps vegetable oil
- 150 milliliters light beer (or non-alcoholic)
- 150 milliliters Vegetable broth
- 1 tsp Caraway
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 allspice
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
Preparation steps

Rinse cabbage, trim, separate leaves, remove thick leaf stalks and cut cabbage into strips. Peel onion and chop finely. Heat oil in a pot and saute onion with mustard seeds until translucent. Add cabbage, sauté 2-3 minutes and deglaze the pot with beer and broth.

Season with cumin, bay leaf, allspice berry, salt and pepper. Mix well, cover and simmer for 30-35 minutes over medium heat. Serve in preheated bowls.
