- 2 Tbsps fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1 Tbsp fresh marjoram (chopped)
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp Ketchup
- 7 ozs ground Beef
- 7 ozs ground Pork
- dried breadcrumbs
- 4 Burger buns (or ciabatta if preferred)
- 1 Red onion (sliced in rings)
- 2 Tomatoes (cored and sliced)
- 2 Lettuce e. g. Romain (cos), sliced into strips
- 4 Tbsps medium Mustard
Preparation
Kitchen utensils
1 Tablespoon, 1 Teaspoon, 1 Large knife, 1 Small knife, 1 Cutting board, 2 Small bowls, 1 Plastic wrap, 1 großer flacher Plate
Preparation steps
1.
Soften the roll in a little lukewarm water. Heat 1 tbsp oil and fry the shallot. Add the parsley and marjoram and let cool slightly.
2.
Squeeze the water out of the roll and mix it with the shallot, the egg and ketchup. Mix in the mince, adding dried breadcrumbs if necessary, until the mixture can be shaped; it should not be too soft. Season generously with salt and ground pepper.
3.
Shape into burgers, brush them with the remaining oil and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side (or fry in a skillet).
4.
Slice the rolls and lay with the cut side on the grill for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
5.
Spread 1 tbsp mustard on each roll and cover with the burger. Place the onion, tomato and lettuce on the burger. Top with the other half of the roll and serve.
