Strawberries are a fantastic source of manganese, vitamin C, and vitamin B9. They are sweet, yet they control blood sugar levels and contribute to heart health (and happiness).
Substitute maple syrup for honey for an additional flavor boost!

- 18 ozs small Strawberries
- 6 Tbsps honey
- 4 fluid ozs balsamic vinegar (aged)
- 12 Basil
- peppers (finely ground)

Preparation steps
1.
Heat the honey in a small saucepan. Add pepper and vinegar and bring to a boil. Set aside and let cool.
2.
Rinse strawberries, core and halve or quarter them. Rinse basil, shake dry, tear into pieces and mix with berries. Divide between 4-6 glasses. Pour balsamic honey mixture over top and serve.
