5 ripe, firm Pear (rinsed; halved and cored)
2 Tbsps freshly squeezed lemon juice
4 ozs Blue cheese
¼ cup sliced almonds

Preparation steps

1.
Preheat oven to 350º F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2.
Arrange the pears on the prepared baking sheet and brush the cut side of the pears with lemon juice. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until slightly soft when pierced with a sharp knife.
3.
Meanwhile, slice the blue cheese into 10 pieces. Remove pears from oven and place a piece of cheese in the well of each pear and sprinkle flaked almonds over the pears. Return pears to oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the flaked almonds are golden brown.
4.
Remove pan from oven and transfer pears to serving plates. Serve warm.
