- 4 medium-sized potatoes
- 40 grams butter
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
- 1 day-old White roll
- 150 milliliters milk
- 500 ground pork
- 2 Tbsps scallions
- 2 small Goat cheese (Crottins de Chavignol)

Preparation steps

Peel, rinse and thinly slice the potatoes. Layer the potato slices in 4 circles about 12 cm (approximately 4 1/2 inches) in diameter on a greased baking sheet. Melt half the butter and brush on the potatoes. Season with salt and pepper. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°F (approximately 350°F). Remove from the oven and reset the oven temperature to 240°C (approximately 465°F).

Soak the bread in milk. Squeeze the excess liquid from the bread and mix with ground meat and scallions. Season with salt and pepper. Form into 4 patties and saute in the remaining butter on both sides for about 5 minutes.

Slice the cheese in half crosswise. Place the meatballs on the center of the potato circles. Top with the cheese. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
