Preparation

Kitchen utensils

1 Cutting board, 1 Small knife, 1 Peeler, 1 Juicer, 1 Teaspoon, 1 dünne Rubber gloves oder Einmalhandschuhe

Preparation steps

1.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2.
Score the ham rind crosswise and rub the meat with salt and pepper. Place in a roasting pan and roast according to package instructions or between 15-18 minutes per pound in oven, until the outside is crisp. During the cooking time baste frequently with the meat juices.
3.
Coarsely crush the peppercorns with the thyme in a mortar and mix with the honey. Brush the ham with the mixture and cook for a further 15 minutes. Do not over cook as this will dry out the ham. Take out of the oven and cool to lukewarm.
4.
For the salad:
5.
Wash and drain the salad leaves. Trim and slice the peppers. Drain the tomatoes and cut into bite-sized pieces.
6.
To make a dressing mix the vinegar with the salt, pepper and sugar and finally beat in the oil. Mix the salad leaves with the peppers and herbs and toss with the dressing.
7.
Arrange the salad on plates, top with dried tomatoes and scatter with pine nuts. Carve the ham with a sharp knife and arrange 3 or 4 slices on each plate beside the salad. Serve garnished with cranberry sauce.
