1 Baguette
3 eggs
200 milliliters milk
1 sm can Saffron
1 Tbsp clarified butter
250 grams Tomato chutney (in a jar)
8 Kumquat
150 grams Sour cream

Preparation steps

1.

Slice the baguette into diagonal slices and place on a baking sheet. Toast in a 120°C (approximately 250°F) oven until golden and crisp, about 30 minutes.

In a bowl, beat the eggs with the milk and saffron. Place the baguette slices on a wire rack with a tray underneath, and drizzle with baguette slices with the egg mixture.

Heat the butter in a skillet. Add the baguette slices and cook until golden on both sides.

Serve the baguette toasts with chutney and creme fraiche on top. Slice the kumquats, remove the seeds and place on top of the toasts. Serve immediately.
