1 Tbsp lemon juice
50 grams sugar

Preparation steps

Weigh the apples. Rinse the apples, remove the core, and finely dice.

Mix the apples with the lemon juice, then place in a large pot. Cover with 1 liter (approximately 1 quart) of water, then simmer the apples for 15 minutes until soft.

Pass the juice through a fine strainer lined with cheesecloth set over a bowl. Drain thoroughly, then squeeze the apples to extract all of the juice. Mix the juice with the sugar, then bring to a boil. Pour the juice into a sterilized bottle, seal tightly, and cool completely. If stored in a dark, cool place the apple juice will keep for several months.
