Preparation steps

1.

Bring the sugar and 100 ml (approximately 3 ounces) of water to a boil. Simmer the mixture until syrupy in consistency. Remove the syrup from the heat and let cool. Puree the melon with the syrup and the lemon juice in a blender.

Pass the puree through a strainer lined with cheesecloth. Squeeze the remains through the strainer. Mix the juice with either bottled or carbonated water. Chill the lemonade before serving.
