- 1 stale Bread roll
- warm water (as needed)
- 2 tsps butter
- 1 onion (peeled and finely diced)
- 2 cloves garlic cloves (peeled and finely minced)
- 21 ozs ground Turkey
- 1 egg (lightly beaten)
- 2 tsps ground Cumin
- 1 Tbsp chopped, fresh cilantro (may substitute parsley)
- salt (to taste)
- freshly ground Black pepper (to taste)
- 1 Tbsp Oil
- wooden Skewer

Preparation steps
1.
Soak the bread roll in a small amount of warm water.
2.
Melt the butter in a skillet set over medium heat and sweat the onion and garlic until translucent.
3.
Squeeze water out of the bread roll and mix thoroughly with the ground turkey, onion mixture, egg, cumin, cilantro, salt and pepper.
4.
Preheat oven broiler or outdoor grill to high heat.
5.
With clean hands, shape the mixture into longish kebabs and thread onto the wooden skewers. Cook turning frequently under the broiler or on a hot grill for about 10 minutes, or until cooked through. Transfer to serving platter and serve.
