- 1 ripe Banana
- 1 small ripe Mango
- 100 grams Lychee
- 3 Tbsps sugar
- 2 Tbsps lemon juice
- 8 Cape gooseberries

Preparation steps
1.
Cut pineapple (including the green tuft) in half lengthwise and cut the flesh from the shell, leaving a narrow edge of fruit attached to the shell. Cut the scooped flesh into pieces and place in a bowl. Set aside pineapple shells.

Peel banana and cut into slices. Peel mango, cut the flesh from around the pit and dice flesh. Peel lychees. Place banana, mango and lychees in a bowl.
3.
Heat sugar in 2 tablespoons water and stir until dissolved. Add lemon juice, mix and allow to cool slightly, then mix with the fruit. Pour the fruit salad into the pineapple halves and top with the hulled gooseberries. Serve sprinkled to taste with lime zest.
