1 large Cucumber (about 700 g)
300 grams onions
200 grams sugar

250 milliliters White vinegar
1 tsp Dill seed
2 tsps peppers
2 Tbsps Mustard

Preparation steps

Peel and halve the cucumber. Remove the seeds with a spoon and finely dice.

Peel and finely chop the onions. Add the cucumber, onion, and sugar to a pot. Mix in the vinegar, dill seeds, peppercorns, and mustard seeds. Season with salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Cover, and simmer gently for 50 minutes. Divide into the prepared sterilized jars and seal immediately.

The relish will last for 6 months unopened.
