Preparation steps

Peel the bottom third of the asparagus and cook the spears in salted water with the lemon juice and the sugar for about 10 minutes.

Toast the bread slices lightly until crispy. Cut the garlic in half and rub over the cut surfaces of the bread. Arrange the drained asparagus on top, shower with the capers and serve drizzled with the oil.
