- 500 grams Spaghetti
- 2 fresh chili peppers (or dried, to taste)
- 1 bunch mixed Fresh herbs (such as parsley, basil, chives)
- 1 root garlic cloves
- 100 milliliters vegetable oil (for cooking)

Preparation steps

Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water until al dente according to the package directions. Rinse the chili and halve lengthwise. Remove the seeds and membranes, and finely dice. Rinse, dry, and chop the herbs.

Peel and thinly slice the garlic. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the garlic briefly, then remove. Remove 3-4 tablespoons of the oil, and transfer to a separate pan. Heat the oil, and sauté the chili briefly. Add 50 ml (approximately 2 ounces) of the pasta cooking water. Drain the pasta, then mix with the herbs, garlic, and chili mixture. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Garnish with some of the chili and serve.
